I feel as if ten thousand years have passed. It’s only been a few years since I’ve given an update on my writing career. Many goals have fallen short, and visions of grandeur have diminished. Persistence is paramount for a writer. Here I am persisting. It’s hard for me to formulate in words everything that has happened over the last couple years. Two I can say without chasing rabbits: I’ve written two novels. My wife and I purchased our first home. 

It’s wonderful having a place to call our own. The dog loves all space, so that settles that.  

Both novels are based in the world I’ve created inspired by events, peoples, and places throughout our own history. The stories under this umbrella I am calling: Erviad, of the Ervos. Inspired directly by the Illiad, which is a tease into the scope of the stories.  

The first novel, the first in a series, The Blood Emperor and Fallen God is on the 6^th draft (only outlines and several character chapters). After receiving feedback, I made it into two novels. The series has five novels planned. This is a culmination of the stories in the world I created. As such, I’ve put it to the side while I improve my writing. 

Morvevling – The First Sword of Mourning, is a short novel I’ve finished recently. It’s in the 2^nd draft and I’m receiving feedback for it currently. It was fun to write and I’m looking forward to sharing it when it is ready!
